United States 2008 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Stornoway Grey
Brembo's w 19" ers

Hi all. I just picked up a new RRS HSE 4.4. I just sold my X5 with 170,000 miles on the odo and I needed something different for a change. So far I love the car but was just wondering when the time comes for a new set of pads/rotors if its possible to convert to the Brembo's with the 19" rims without interference? I don't want to convert to 20" ers as our roads over here are a bit chopped up.
--if the conversion is possible, do I also need to convert anything else i.e. master cylinder, ABS control that would make this too $$?
--is there a very noticeable difference in stopping power between the oem brakes and Brembo's? I'm not thinking about it for style points but for stopping ability.

Thanks and I apologize ahead of time if this has been discussed before but I did a search and did not see the exact topic--maybe its just 'cause I'm new. '08 HSE 4.4 Stornoway Gray/Ebony

Brembos will fit fine on 19, but that would be the smallest you can go, The tests between supercharged sports and non supercharged show that the supercharged is able to stop a few feet shorter, but on a day to day basis I doubt you would notice anything,

This isn't a BMW forum, there is no need to apologize the chances are you will get made fun of either way. Wink

You can actually go to 18" without too much trouble, WITH the brembos... I think I'm the only lunatic that's done it... But I did because of the beach work I do... (i.e. more tire, less rim combination needed for tire pressure reduction..) RR-Sport SC - Sunroof,Towbar,PTI,Tint,Elect Rust Mgt

Andrew, how'd you do it? Did you have to modify the caliper or did you find a wheel that fits. I've been told an X5 18" rim might fit but haven't got the chance to try yet.
