When I bought my RRS the sales broucher told me about the wonderful driving position, the good looks, the 4x4 capabilities - I don't remember ever seeing anything about an annoying clonk - if it's a characteristic of the car they should advertise it!
Nice one VA!! Rolls Royce Ghost, RRS 2.7 TDV6, E220 Avantgarde Estate.

Just a thought Idea

Has anyone else noticed that almost without exception the 'accurate' reports of this ARC noise come from owners of right hand drive vehicles. For example, the SC is fitted with this ARC valve and I cannot recall US owners reporting this problem and rejecting vehicles.

Any difference between LH and RH drive vehicles and hence a clue to the problem?

So how many of you LH drive owners have Dynamic Response fitted and have this knocking coming from the ARC valve - or is yours OK?

Mine's OK, touch wood, 2007 TDV6 HSE with Dynamic Response and RHD!!.... http://www.black-code.co.uk

Here we go again!!!!!!!
My original clonking has returned today. If this is linked to the rack, then this one only lasted 700 miles.
I have now rejected the car on the grounds I have already stated in my post on the 17th July.
I've had enough!!!!!
Will let you know how I get on.

If you have only just discovered the knocking Paulo there is a good chance it will turn out to be worn anti roll bar bushes. Which are easily rectified. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

I hope so....but.... I already had what I thought was the knocking fixed....

This sounds like a wee hammer being banged (sometimes) onto the a something connected to the steering...

Will let you know and thanks for the advice. 2022 P440e AB

Well, this is my last post on the RRS forum. After 4 Months of misery the vehicle has finally gone back for good.
Although I did not get a full refund, ( due to used mileage ) I am just pleased to get shot of the damned thing.
If the case had gone to litigation it might have taken up to a year to get a full refund with costs and compensation.
I have now bought myself a Q7 3.0 TDI S line as a replacement which I would now consider a better build quality car even though they are built in Slovakia.
I do hope that those of you with your clonking, knocking and banging cars are able to get these issues resolved, and maybe, just maybe, LR will eventually admit to some design issues with the RRS

Just to let anyone know who is interested in buying a RRS V6, my one, (reg no. GJ07 RYF) went back on the forecourt of the local dealership within days after taking it back.
I wonder if they fixed it first?!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and by the way, the Q7 is great. I could list at least 50 things better than my old RRS, more power & torque to name just 2. So if there is anyone else that is hacked off with their RRS and if you can warm to the quirky looks go and try one!

Regards to all
FRIZZ
