Plan: Visit Solihull Land Rover Factory.
Trip : Gold Package tour:

This full-day package includes the factory tour, lunch, demonstration drive and an opportunity to drive with an experienced instructor.
Price £170"

Price drops to:
£140.00 With between 9-18 People booked
£120.00 With over 18 people booked (Max 36 people allowed on a day).

Full day event, with the plan to go for a bite to eat in the local area afterwards (if you fancy it).

I will need confirmation and payment sending to me 5 weeks before the date of the day. So Deadline = 17th March 2006
Cheques will need to be sent to me payable to Land Rover, i will then drop them into the factory (I live locally).

Partners/Friends welcome, Children under 10 not allowed (H&S Regulations).
Full length Trousers and fully enclosed shoes mandatory.

All dietary requirements can be arranged for, and any allergy/special conditions should be communicated 3 weeks in advance of the day.

We have all agreed that we will jointly fund the cost of Martin's ticket, so please bear this in mind when confirming. If there are 18 people confirmed, 17 of us will be asked to cover Martins ticket, so means only £7.06 extra on each ticket, hope this isn't a problem for anyone.

Good idea by the way.. its all credit to you mate, i just thought i may be the best person placed to get this organised seeing as though i live in Solihull myself and hardly would class myself as rammed busy at work!

Eventually, once we near the deadline, i will need cheques sent to my home address (will provide this then), but right now as we don't know what the final numbers are for definite, therefore we don't know how much each persons share for martins ticket will be. So hold fire for now. Will chase you for payment when it nears the date don't worry.

Anyway, the latest news here is that things might slowly be moving in the right direction. Keeping our fingers crossed! Also was told that the batch of cars originally ordered by the local dealer way back last year (mine is one of them) have been in LR's warehouse since then, waiting to be shipped out!

So you may want to inquire at LRUK where this batch of cars are kept. If you can get there, you'll find, amongst the rest, 3 units 4.2SC First Editions. 2 of them will be Vesuvious and 1 Java Black. The Java Black is definitely mine - so take a couple of pictures for me!!

Having said that, you guys have a good time and please post lots of pics!!  Malaysia Boleh!

I recieved a reply back from Tim last night it sounds like he is up for it, but does say he will be in Holland on the 20th and will have to fly into Birmingham,
So for now include him as a maybe.  Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.
