I think he's going to post step by step pictures later after he finishes the passanger side. I was under the impression that he didnt take pics the first time around because he wasn't sure on the technique.

Actually, after our local Southern California meet in Anaheim, I went home and got all anxious and started hacking at my headlight without giving the camera much thought... Half way into it, I realized that I hadn't taken any pictures so I decided to document the other headlight (thinking Id do it that same evening...)

Then my indecision kicked in in terms of what I wanted to do with the innards (paint them to match my car, etc) and the hesitation held the project up...

BAD NEWS THOUGH... my future mother in law is sleeping in the living room (next to the kitchen) and I have been given STRICT instructions not to turn on the oven tonight, nor to make any noise around her...

Looks like I'll be doing this tomorrow afternoon instead! Gave my fiancee my ATM card so she can take her mom shopping all day...

Im telling you... getting married is SOOOO MUCH harder than taking your headlights apart!!!!

Very true!! Laughing Laughing

Very trusting of you to leave the future Mrs Antics with your ATM card though. It would take my wife about 15.4 secs to bankrupt me if I gave her mine Wink

That's why the bank limits the amount of money she can take out.

Well, the ATM trick worked... got them both out of the house and I spent the entire day playing with my headlights and my camera...

SO HERE IT IS, I have posted the instructions for clearing out the headlights on my website to save people the trouble of searching the forums, etc.

http://www.rrstips.com/frontlightmod.php

PS. I will be adding my other mods on the site in hopes of creating an archive of HOW-TOs so RRS owners can service their problems, etc...

Submissions welcome!

Antics,

You took my idea. Thanks though, good job. I was going to make a how-to site with all the mods. Maybe you should add painting the side vents to make them look like the SC ones. The radar installation mod would be nice too. Can anyone think of others?

Lets make a modified Woodman's TV guide for the RRS. I could help in the making if necessary.
