I notice the latest (2007) Land Rover Assistance Warranty booklet, page10, states under the UK Benefits section, and the heading of Car Hire, the clause:-

"If following assistance by LR Assistance your vehicle cannot be repaired within 4 hours, we will wherever possible organise and pay for a replacement vehicle for a maximum of 2 days whilst your vehicle is being repaired".

Is this a recent reduction in the benefits, or do all the earlier editions of the warranty booklets state a maximum of 2 days

Past tales of woe on this forum give the impression that replacement vehicles have, where necessary, been kept for weeks rather than just a couple of days.

From what I can remember it has always been 2 days but they can be flexible. I think the clause covers their behinds! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

I have used LRA couple of times this year - 2 days initial hire extended as reqd - never needed to know how far the extension could run...
