I don't believe it! I was sitting with Mrs VA in a local restaurant discussing cars. A woman comes in asking if anyone has a Silver RRS! You've guessed it she has only reversed into my RRS. Completely knackerd the rear passenger side door! At least she came in and owned up. Looks like I will be taking a dented RRS on mt offroad day Sunday Week! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

How could I she had more facial hair than me and probably weighed 20 st.! At least she came to find me. I will take some pics soonest. Took my RRS to the bodyshop this afternoon to be greeted by the owner with open arms, he had to laugh as he nearly has had my car more than I have. Fortunately it's only one door - no other damage. He said he will prep the door and simply fix it on and the colour match it. Should take 4 days. The only positive to come out of this is that he said he would paint my radiator grill and side vents to colour code them to my car free of charge, should I do this? I think I would like this so that a car is slighty different to others. I will also be able to rent a like for like car at the womans expense. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I wouldn't do it myself, but like you say it would give it that unique look. You'll get another RRS courtesy car from the bodyshop? That's not bad going given you often get lumbered with a poxy Micra or something. The wife got a Yaris last time she had an accident in hers and it was hideous. 2009 Outstanding Contribution Award - Joint Runner Up 2009 'Tech-Head Of The Year' Award - Runner Up Like it here? I would while it is free and convenient. If you don't like the end result, you can pick up a set of standard vents and grill on eBay very cheap, as there are plenty of people upgrading to the supercharged versions. You could also sell your painted ones on eBay too. Matt ------------------------------------------- RRS ownership for 1 yr, then D3 for 2 yrs. Then cut back to old bangers and working my way back up through two Peugeots in 6 months. Now got Saab 9-5 2.3t and enjoying the performance! |
