I think I read somewhere that a car has to sell a particular amount of units before it will be entered into the EuroNCAP program. This figures as the Freelander was tested some while ago and it's possible this is LR's best selling car (although I don't have any figures). I doubt there have been the same amount of D3s sold as Freelanders and I expect the RRS has sold less than the D3 by virtue of it's relative youth.

Yep, fair enough. Like I say I'm not even sure it's sales that is the criteria for entry into the programme, it's just rings a bell that I've read it somewhere.

I'd love to know well the RRS or D3 performs in an accident. It's a shame LR don't publish their own test results/photos in the brochures, like many other manufacturers used to. Maybe they don't crash real vehicles anymore, as it might all be done on computer simulations! Matt
