2010 !! very interesting stuff !

According to the latest issue of AUTOBild allrad (german 4x4 monthly):

-no facelifts for the RRS until second generation RRS will go in production, 2010 at the earliest (very good news indeed!)
-new RRS will weigh about 300kg less "Premium Lightwight Architecture" (better fuel economy and faster)
-TDV6 will be 3.0 litre engine with 220 bhp, TDV8 4.0 litre and 300 bhp
-hybrid engine will be option for both RRS and Range Rover petrol cars, "Land-e" technique

Plenty of other news as well, like a completely new crossover model between FL and Disco, etc. etc.

There's also a design study of the 2nd generation RRS in the magazine and I can tell you that the car looks a real stunner! . The LR design guys did it again!!!!

So there's plenty to look forward to! We all better hang on to our current cars for another two or three years, save a few quids and then go for the next generation model.

Roland - are you able to scan some images of the proposes 2nd generation RRS? I'm very surprised and I really doubt LR have even looked at new designs for the RRS2. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

The facelift won't happen in 2010. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

I thought that the 2nd generation RRS would not even come out until 2012 the earliest that gives 1st generation atleast a 7 year life cycle whcih seems about average for most cars nowadays, and knowing LandRover they are not exactly quick to move onto the next generation straight after the 7 year cycle.In away I hope the RRS 2nd generation doesn't come in until atleast 2012 I haven't even picked my up yet

Hey looked at the german link thats the 2010 Range Rover not the RRS, same sort of pic that was out a few months back in What Car magazine, if it is the Range Rover then 2010 seems about right for the new one to be out
