Denmark 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
use of hybrid tv

in my new TDV8 I have the TV option. I won't be very popular with the environmentalists around here if I sit and watch TV with the motor running. How long do I dare watch TV while standing still with the motor off without risking running down the battery...if at all? Does it make a difference with which position the key is in?

Thanks
Ted

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Hi Tedf,

I have the TV and RE system and notice that when the ignition is switched off the system goes into low power mode and limits the volume level to a max of 20 and also marginally dims the screens. If left running it automatically powers down after 30 minutes, but can be switched straight back on again, I ran the front and rear screens for 2h30m with no problems whatsoever - British traffic jams!

Hope this helps

When the battery is draining low, auto shut off

I did the same thing as to switch back and again 2 or 3 times, only this time my screen dimmed, no rear illumination, I thought I burned the screen, but no! It was a security function to shutoff if not complete battery drain very possible!
I carry a battery booster in the trunk, very usefull for any ocassion, plus if you vahe it plugge din the rear cigarrete adapteri t can recharge itself or the car!!DOuble purpose!
Bye
