Suspension / Transmission Fault - Overheating?

I have recently experienced the limited gears / suspension failure thing that has been well written on in the past in this forum. It happens to me when the engine has been driving hard (say on the autobahn for 1hr) but then I pull in to a services, or onto a side road, and pull up to a halt. That's when I get the dreaded bing-bong and lowered suspension. This makes me think the fault may be related to overheating and I am sure I read a post on this forum or the US forum about a sensor overheating in the engine bay. The fault I believe was fixed with more insulation around the sensor.

I have searched all the fora but can't find the thread anywhere.

'Yes' turning the car off and on does work temporarily and 'yes' a software upgrade hasn't solved it.

The car will be covered under warranty but if I can push the dealer in the right direction it may save me some time.

Any thoughts?

No idea Hartley - more than likely a faulty sensor but it could be anything. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Both transmission AND suspension faults are quite well reported so if it's not any of the usual remedies that you can find here then I'm afraid it's a dealer visit, HH Confused I don't remember hearing about overheating issues, but that doesn't mean they haven't existed by any means.... Sorry the forum hasn't been very responsive on this occasion - give it another couple of days for responses, but then it does look like you'll be off to your dealer.
