Update: Tata + Fiat!

Aug. 1 (Bloomberg) -- India's Tata Motors Ltd. will bid
jointly with Fiat SpA for Ford Motor Co.'s Jaguar and Land Rover
brands, the Financial Express reported, citing unidentified
people close to the development.
Tata Motors plans to extend its alliance with Fiat to other
countries outside India, the newspaper said, citing Tata Motors
Managing Director Ravi Kant.
Mumbai-based Tata Motors, India's third-largest car and
sport-utility vehicle maker, tied up with Fiat, Italy's largest
automaker, to build a factory and sell new models in India.
Ford bought Jaguar in 1989 for $2.5 billion and Land Rover
in 2000 for $2.73 billion. The U.S. automaker said on July 19 it
had received offers, without naming the bidders. Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6
