RRSPORT.CO.UK Official Wine!

You have the car; you have the site, now get the wine! This is a one-off opportunity to become the owner of these totally exclusive wines, destined to be collectors' items, and quite probably the only vehicle web site wines in the world! Mr. Green

There will be a "Mud and Ruts" Syrah (red) and a "Grass, Gravel and Snow" Chardonnay (white), priced at around £80 per case, or ~£6.60 per bottle delivered to your door in the UK (for Europe contact myself or Wineman for prices). See the bottom of this post for label and bottle images.

Only 300 bottles of each wine will be made, branded with the RRSPORT.CO.UK and DISCO3.CO.UK logos. If there's sufficient interest from RRSPORT members alone then even more exclusive RRSPORT.CO.UK only labels will be used Smile

Some more information about the Domaine supplying the wine:

Domaine Sainte Rose is an exceptional viticultural estate situated in the Languedoc region of southern France. The Domaine is owned by Charles and Ruth Simpson (D3 owners - Charles is 'Wineman'), a British couple who left their respective international careers to pursue their mutual dream to establish a boutique vineyard and winery of their own. Since purchasing the Domaine in 2002 the Simpsons have created a successful range of high quality wines that are marketed in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, the United States, Canada, Holland, Norway, Denmark, Belgium and Switzerland to date.

The Simpson's have a very specific quality-orientated strategy. Their improvements in the farming of the vineyards combined with significant investment in state-of-the-art winemaking equipment and strict hygiene standards in the winery has enabled them to achieve their goal of creating small quantities of authentic, affordable, hand-crafted, family-made wines of distinction.

Anyone needing confirmation of their credentials can go to: http://www.domaine-sainte-rose.com/3rd%20party%20feedback.htm

Wineman also mentioned that the wine he is proposing for the Grass, Gravel and Snow Chardonnay is the same wine that was recently written up by Jancis Robinson MW, and the Syrah will be made from a side blend of La Garrigue, their award winning red.

ORDERING

Please place pre-orders for the wines by replying to this topic or PM'ing me, stating quantity required. Remember these exclusive collectors' items will only be produced if there's enough interest Smile

Holy moly!! I've seen it all now! Very Happy

I do fear for my reputation though, if I ordered a case and brought it to the table during a dinner party. I can only imagine the tedious explanations I'd have to go through with my non-internet savvy friends... let alone what Mrs Shmoogle would have to say on the subject! Rolling Eyes Shame, as I do like a nice drop of Syrah - one of my favourite grapes.

I love it but I doubt Mrs VA would be too impressed! Like shmoogle the dinner party revolve around the fact that I must be a sad bastard - true but don't want it discussed. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Kam- Someone in your house must drink or you must have guests periodically?!?

To the rest of you remember that these wines would retail for significantly more in the UK if branded in their original form. You are getting extraordinarily good value for money as well as having a bit of fun.

Re: dinner conversation you can show off your wine savvy by telling them the Grass, Gravel, Snow is a favourite of Jancis R, MW and Mud and Ruts syrah has Decanter World Wine Awards.
