Yup, as long as you're a dealer selling the car!! Try and get rid privately and it's a different story. Guy Salmon offered £49k for my 55 plate Jan'06 reg'd SC and its got 2.5kmls on the clock (Was £58.5k five weeks ago). The offer they made was in px for a RRS TDV6 HSE!! So they'd make a double whammy out of the deal!

The trade will bend you over and thrash you to within an inch of your life when you come to sell

I have been getting consisten offers for my RRS since november.

Mercedes Benz offered me: £40k against a CLS in Dec.
Private trader offered me £41.5k against a CLS in Nov.
Audi offered me £42k in pex against an S4 with trade to RS4 in june.
Got £39-41k in pex against the RS4 for buyup immediately for delivery in June. but will keep it till june til when the RS4 actually arrives, and then will see what i can get including advertising at going rate on the trader myself.

Would say to you, advertise it yourself on the trader, and even phone round a few dealers who have similar cars for sale and offer it to them at £1.5k less then they are selling their for etc. Does work, ask to speak to 'buyer' or even better a group buyer. I sold my old Bmw Cab to the Sytner group buyer £2k more then what i was getting in pex. LR dealers are thieves when it comes to partex, but we all have to make money to stay in business so fair enough to them to an extent.
Good luck with it though Iceman, we all know what a wounder it is to loose money on cars im sure, but loosing it that short term hurts more...

One dealer came back with offer of £32k!!
cheeky .. obviously didn't phone him back, just told him what i thought of his offer and his cheek!
