Remap TDv8

Does a remap on a TDV8 really make that much difference?
I had a remap in a little Smart car I had and that made one hell of a difference. But what about the TDV8 it seams pretty quick to me but I've only had it a couple of weeks.
Tubo chip seems to be the one most promoted any other suggestions Red Dot racing well known in Watford for various remaps.I would be interested to hear from any V8 owners that have had their car remapped

TurboD, my TDv8 has been re-mapped. Hard to say precisely how much difference it makes, 'cos a day after you have the job done it feels "normal" again. But suffice to say the vehicle goes like stink, pulls like a very big train, yet handles everything very well indeed.

Tasmod did it. Fuel consumption is about 23mpg, which is no worse than before. RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

Go get it done and enjoy Mr. Green the hp now is 325 i believe, all i know is mine goes like Censored of a shiny shovel and leaves you in a cloud of smoke Whistle top end is still limited to 135mph but bloody hell for a big lump of a car it gets there quickly, i cant remember what mine was like before it was chipped i only had it a few days before it was done Rolling Eyes

Like Smarticus said you wont get much more than about 23mpg, mine currently is 21mpg, but it rarely sees motorways and is all country lane driving, i did reset it on a long run a couple of months ago and it returned 28mpg driving it like a nun, but that is difficult Mr. Green

BTW welcome to the site Thumbs Up some of my Previous cars

HAd mine done by DMS in Southampton, they also did my two previous TDV6's. Have to say the difference is great, and slightly more fuel efficient on normal driving mode... which is not very often. Claimed figures are 336 bhp and 606 ft lb, feels all of that and more without the heavy smoke too. Thumbs Up 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

Remapping a TDV6 is no problem, obviously I can't speak for others but with Torq-Tune the torque & power increase in no way stresses the engine or drivetrain, typically we can provide an increase of 35kW at the wheels with the tune created specifically for your vehicle
