Hi Steve and welcome.

I'm sure your help and technical experience will be very welcome on the forum. No dealership politics though.

I don't suppose you can shed any more light on this knocking noise from the dynamic suspension Question TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

No more than whats already been mentioned, as far as I'm aware, there's no fix for it but knocking from the front on a rr sport without ARC is caused by the front antiroll bar bushes.

England 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Are you the technician at Newport then? Because Cardiff didn't fix anything as far as I am aware.

As I understand it was a valve of some sort was fitted rather than power steering pump that Cardiff said was required.

I now have the car back and Customer care have offered side steps fitted FOC as a "sorry" which seems fair.

As I said in an earlier message, Exeter and Newport did fine, Cardiff however... NEVER will my car see that garage again! 07 RRS TDV6 HSE Java Black

I'm the technician from cardiff, I diagnosed it and told newport what to do, power steering pump had nothing to do with it, it was the ARC pump that needed replacing due to low pressure, no further tests could be carried out till the new pump was fitted and this was the part we were waiting for for ages.

After the pump was fitted, further tests were carried out and due to the pump breaking up it was found that contaminants had got into the valve block and killed it.

Before I diagnosed that ARC fault, there was also an air suspension fault, the EAS ECU had gone down causing communication failure, not only with other ECU's on the car but also the diagnostic computer wouldn't talk to it, I replaced the air suspension ECU after checking the wiring to the ECU first.

Sorry cardiff messed you about but thats not my fault, I just fix them, I'm just a number that does what he's told to do.

Trying to be funny are you?

It wasn't in for a knocking noise, it was recovered in because the red suspension light was on.
