Qatar 2007 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Buckingham Blue
Just Color-Coded My RRS in Buckingham Blue

All,

I just finished the 2nd phase of enhancements by color-coding my RRS
(Door Handles, Side Vents, Front Grille, Clear Side Repeaters). I took some
pictures and added those to my Gallery.

http://www.rrsport.co.uk/gallery/displayim...&pos=0

Fearing of breaking the door handle CAP clips. I decided to leave them till the end Confused

1) The Side repeaters took a minute or two per side. I struggled a bit with the 1st one
before I realized that the bulb comes off by twisting it and not by pulling it straight-out Embarassed

2) The Front Grille was a snap. Easy to take out and put in. No worries there.

3) For the Side vents, I did not use JayMann's top-down approach but ivery819's bottom-up approach.
if you start from the top, one might risk breaking one of the 2-top hinges that hold the side vent
firmly to the body. I replaced both vents in a matter of few minutes.

4) The local dealer asked for $360 to replace the door handles (I provided the handles)
and insisted that they can only be replaced by removing the interior door trim and not from
the outside. They also estimated this to be a 1-day job at least.

I read all the posts that tackled this subject on the RRSPORT forum and finally decided
to do it myself.

The 1st CAP was the most difficult for me and took like 15 minutes to carefully remove it
without breaking any of the clips. The 2nd one took few minutes and the third one I did
in few seconds. I found out that releasing the lower clip of the CAP first was the best approach.
to avoid breaking any of the clips. I managed to replace them all without breaking any.
I only used one small flat screwdriver that came off my minitools set.

I just would like to thank you all soooo much. Without your input I would'nt be able to do it by myself.

To be honest, I am quite pleased and enjoying the moment Thumbs Up
I have started already preparing for the 3rd phase of Enhancements Embarassed

I plan to be done with the RRS by end of this summer as I would like to
give some attention to my other car: Pathfinder '92 XE. Which I would like
to lift up to install 33-35" tyres on it (Body + Suspension Lift) Very Happy
