United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

We have a small bearing type noise on most 07 models over here. It comes in at around 26mph and then goes away at 28mph until around 40mph and comes back again, at 48mph it drums through the car then after 50mph its gone for good. I had the diffs changed for it and its exactly the same but as you say when the throttle pedal is released it instantly goes. It is engine ressinance vibration transmitted into the cabin. The dealers let me take 3 more cars out and they all did it, so then I took the service manager and sales guys out and showed them what it was and how to find it and they said you are too fusy, no one ever complains we had never noticed it. Yours sounds just the same but at higher speed. Get the dealers to use their listening device on it then they will know if it is the diff or not.

Good luck. Let us know the outcome of it. You don't stop playing because you get old, You get old because you stop playing.

No it is not the bearing in the diff, that is what my dealers blamed but it was in-correct diagnosis.
Having said that the front diff did colapse at around 1200 miles. The dealer said it is becoming common.

Good luck with it.
Keep us informed when they find it. You don't stop playing because you get old, You get old because you stop playing.
