Good point, well stated Cliff. If you like it, go for it!!! PS Have you checked out servicing costs? I seem to recall they were very expensive and had a new water pump every service? MY12 SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ebony/Piano/Sidesteps/Privacy/Overfinch Olympus/JLR DRLs |

It's OK Gordon, I bet even a 924 with a clapped out VW engine would be faster than VA's knackered RRS |

Always liked the 928 too... and they sounded great too. Handling wasn't so sharp as on the 911 & 924/944/968 derivatives of the time though. I expect they make an FFRR SC look frugal too.... as nice as they are, I wonder if you wouldn't have spent twice the cost of the car after a year of looking after it

Big discussion still going on in the H household, there was one that I just missed in Grantham last week, would have gone for it there and then but was hours too late There is nothing that really grabs me at the moment, really want an S4 with a dark exterior with cream seats. There is still the ongoing talk of whether we get rid of the C class also with a FFRR still a high possibility although that does throw up a couple of complications as you know. Also not sure I could really justify a 4.4l FFRR and a 5l 928 on the drive Really don't know what we will do at the moment. Shmoogle I know that they are a potential timebomb money wise but to be honest what car isn't (when out of warranty) for example if the autobox went in the c class I am sure we would be looking at big dosh. |

Cheers S, the good thing is that most 928's even the cheaper ones are coming up with a very good up to date service history pointing to the fact that you must be able to look after them for a semi reasonable cost. |
