I agree, not really my style to go in and just lose the plot with them anyway, I think best to calmly explain what I want them to do and if any refusals etc then explain the process by which a negligence action is started and the likely costs/consequences.....! |

If the garage is an Audi franchise, you might want to mention contacting Audi UK customer services. The garage is on all kinds of bonus schemes for achieving various customer service "standards". A serious, safety & quality control issue of this nature (or possibly even failure of an Audi part) will have potentially serious financial implications for the garages bonus (which will almost certainly be measured at 30 June). You might find they take you a whole lot more seriously if they believe they are at risk of financial penalty from Audi UK. RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

Same thing happened to me after a Mazda service. RAC man found a little spanner still on the nipple which is used to bleed the brake fluid so dealer was bang to rights. 'Luckily' total brake failure only occured in a car park when I arrived at my destination 100miles away, not on the M3.

Its amazing how many people have similar stories about dodgy workmanship from what is regarded as the specialists, and we pay a lot of money for this service.
