Just had my Dad on the phone from France (They are on Holiday).

He has a 2004 FFRR VOGUE with the 6 CD SAT NAV (Pre touch screen)

He has put the France disk in and now the system says "No CD" and hangs the screen. He has tried to eject the disk but it wont eject. He says he can hear it spinning constantly and has tried disconnecting the players power and reconnecting it. he has also tried holding the eject button for 30 seconds but it still wont come out.
I suspect that the Dozy Old Mut has put the CD in upside down Anyhoo - any help on how to get round this would be gratefully received so that I can call him back and maybe stop him getting completetly lost in France - Hmm , mind you maybe that wouldn't be such a bad thing !!!  2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Oh dear looks like he has the standard FFRR fault. You need to take the CD holder apart to see if Dad has put it in upside down. If it is in the right way up then there is a fault these model years suffer where they lock up in this way, no response - no eject. The answer is a new unit £900. Just hope it is upside down  You don't stop playing because you get old, You get old because you stop playing.

Would you believe warranty expired 26 June 07!! I've told him to push it with LR if it comes to it as 3 days out of warranty is just a joke! There's always the UK Law that states that you are covred for 7 Years in Eng and 5 in Sco against design flaws. If this is a known problem with the FFRR Units then that's the tact he wil take.
