Hummer

Has anyone driven/owned or been in a Hummer? I would love to have one for the weekend, not for its 4x4 abilities which are zero but just to annoy a few people! Let's have your stories. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

VA the nearest I can recall to a HUMMER EXPERIENCE was as a little boy on holiday with my parents in one of these travelling through Devon, when all of a sudden my dad found himself stuck in a narrow street wedged between 2 cottages Embarassed Embarassed

Laughing Laughing Laughing

I expect not the last time that will happen. Similarly, I managed to get a narrowboat stuck across the canal once up in Norfolk. We sort of got lost, see... quite embarrassing as we had to call out someone to come and help. I blamed the wife entirely of course.

Oh and I was meant to mention something about Hummers there too... I've not actually driven one but have been driven in one. Quite comfy inside actually, but ridiculously large... the colleague of mine that was driving it was silly enough to drive it around in central London but seemed to quite confident in threading it through gaps. I suppose you just get used to it... for those of you that know Covent Garden, there's a little mini roundabout at the top of Bow Street into Long Acre and when I used to work out that way, you often used to see bloody great trucks navigating it with ease. Not something I'd want to try myself in something 5 times longer than my RRS!

snmoogle - I know the roundabout, makes me think how those stretched naff limos get around! MDP - you should contact social services and sue your parents for the social disorders you obviously suffer from today if you were made to holiday in that thing! Wink When I was a small boy I went on holiday in the sailing worlds equivalant -

Embarassed

My best friend has an H2. I've been in it many times nad driven it a few two. I can say it is one of the worst driving cars ever. It drives so loose and is so freaking rattley. Its a cool looking car, but in reality it's a pain to drive and get old quick.
