Help needed tracking my Mini Cooper S on atlantic crossing | |
The soon to be stable mate of my RRS (a Mini Cooper S) is currently on it's way from Southampton to Charleston, South Carolina on board the good ship Frisia. The soon-to be-Mini-owner community here in the U.S. are very resourceful in tracking the ships carrying their newly manufactured vehicles. Unfortunately, the Frisia is a K-Line ship, and I can't find any tracking info. or manifest info. to confirm my car is actually onboard. So, I figured that someone in this clever, resourceful forum might be able to help. Specifically, I am hoping Tim in Scotland might be able to provide some input.
Also, get this. I placed the custom order for my Mini on June 11, it went into production on June 12, and was at Southampton and loaded on board the Frisia on June 22. Wow.
And before anyone suggests I get a life given my preoccupation with the transatlantic passage of the new car, I have a solid reason. When the car gets into South Carolina, it goes to Mini VDC for inspection for any damage that may have happened on the voyage. More than a couple of days there suggests that something bad may have happened, and is being "fixed". Shipping damage does not have to be disclosed (afaik).
Thanks in advance for any and all help. 2011 BMW X3 35i Carbon Black
