The standard system is still an HK system - the premium system brings with it Logic7 improvements and the extra speakers.

Currently I have a D3 HSE with Logic 7. When I tested out the RRS with standard HK it sounded fine stationary however when driving it you loose all bass definition at low stereo volumes - sounds very tinny as the rest of the car / road noise fights the passive subwoofer.

Thinking about it - the basic UK stereo (non HK unit) doesn't have the AUX input and I am failry sure it is just a single CD as apposed to the HK's six.

Not sure on that front however in this day and age most car stereo's will play ripped CD's. I know for a fact that the HK unit won't play data versions of MP3 files (will play standard ripped CD's) - my audi did, you could effectively get around 5 to 7 albums worth of tracks onto a disc in data format as apposed to standard music format.

Assuming it's the same head unit as the D3 basic, mp3 CDs will not work. |
