Any tips on how to replace the wing mirrors? Even the LR techs managed to break it when they tried to fit a replacement. New one on the way but it would be nice not to have to go back again.

I had cause to replace mine on both sides at points during my ownership. I tried first and broke the glass, went back to the dealer to get another one and the tech went through a further two glasses before managing to fit it successfully (took the wise advice of the parts monkey to have someone fit it for me, good job I did). Second time, didn't bother attempting it and got a tech to come out directly to do it for me and he was successful after only breaking one glass. When I told him that he'd done it with less breakages than the other guy, he mumbled something about the fact there's no actual method.... you just have to try it and see if it will catch on the retaining clips.

Thanks for the answers. I'm taking the car back to the dealers later this week to give them another go at it.

I think the actual wing mirror assembly costs about £90 from your local neighbourhood stealers, so start saving your pennies just incase. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.
