Remap

HI.

i have just bought a new TDV6 and have spent hours trawling through the site and reading all the information on this subject.

To the people from turbochip i have a few questions.

1, what happens if LR disocver this has caused a problem, do you offer any back up?

2, do you have someone in essex?

3, on the web you are claiming a 60bhp increase. Is this realistic?

4, Is this available for the my08?

5, what 0-60 can i expect?

thanks in advance.

noodler - in case of question 1, it will be very dependant on the fault - and more specifically proving who/what is to blame for the fault

Noodler,

With a TDV6 I should get on and do it. But I stongly advise run it in for about 2,000 miles to allow for any teething problems and manufacturer software upgrades to be done (some non engineering companies don't tell you that Wink ). This will also allow the engine and other componets to bed in. That will save you a lot of hassel of having to get it redone after a software upgrade and also allow any warranty issues to be dealt with first without any hassel from LR.
Most of the companies will reflash it for free.

If LR can contribute the software upgrade to a fault then they will not honour that claim on the warranty. I know of No tuning company that will give you an equivalent warranty/back up just in case it goes wrong. So basically you are on your own. Do your research and you pay for what you get.

Can LR tell it's been done? Not visually...but if they drive it ....They will know straight away Thumbs Up

Most companies tune it up from the standard 190 to around 240 ish. Some quote 250.Torque up from 440Nm to about 570Nm (for some companies).

0-60 time should end up around 9 secs. In my experience it's a hell of a lot better than standard Thumbs Up

It can be done to any model year.

Hope this will do until you get a direct answer from elsewhere.

Good luck. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone
