Removing the Stock Stereo
So, I've done my searches on this forum and it appears that swapping the stock stereo for something aftermarket is more pain in the ass than its worth...
I would really like to put a touchscreen montior where the stock stereo is and hook it up to a "Car/Computer." But I'm afraid too many things are wired to the stock stereo and I would lose some functionality of other things...
Is the stock NAV system controlled by the stock stereo? (No I don't have a RRS yet)
What other functionalities would I potentially lose?
Anyone have something similar set up?
Thanks.

Yeap, I read that thread. It seems to currently be the best solution. I was hoping for a complete replacement. Trying to keep it simple to avoid future electrical problems.
