New C-Class

I know this was on the forum some time ago, but I said at the time that I wasn't keen on it.

Well, all I can say is...... CHOMP, CHOMP, MUNCH.....GULP.

Yes, I am eating my own words!

I love it and we are now (Subject to duty changes 2008/09) seriously considering one as our 2nd car.

I think if we did (Or whatever we buy) it will probably be a petrol. Like the sound of a C350 Sport (White if I can get it past Mrs ST!!!)

C350 Sport:

3.5 V6
272bhp
0-60 = 6.3secs
AMG styling kit std
18" AMG split 5 spoke alloys

ST i love the look of these too.. think the 350 will depreciate like a dog here, but over there in white etc it will look the biz!! we have a current c class, and its very capable car, hasn't put a foot wrong.

We will be changing our customers c classes to Bmw 320d sports for the next year, then back over to these new shape c classes in 2008 i think.. my mum wants a silver one, and it will probably be the diesel sport model! love the SEC look grill.. the tv ads are looking good..

The new C-classes do look good... you can see where they've taken the design queues from the S-class. With the exception of the R-class, most of the recent new models have been great looking Thumbs Up

Not a huge surprise to anyone with eyesight and a brain, but just as a FYI.

My old man wanted to fuse two of his cars into one about 10 months ago, and thought a well spec'ed Merc R-Class would be a perfect solution to morphing his S-Class and X5 into one limo/loadlugger - perfect!

Anyway, the R-Class was deemed to be a complete bag of Censored after a few thousand miles and was not a patch on his beloved S-Class

Anyway, he has decided that the R-Class is so awfully bad that he will just dispatch anything bigger than a normal car will carry in future and buy a new S-Class again.

After 10k miles the £58k R-Class was traded in for £28k (and the Dealer only bought it because he was buying the new S-Class from them - they wouldnt of bid on it otherwise )

Woops!

Dont buy one Chaps!

Although at £28k a one year old £58k Merc with 10k miles on the clock and lots of toys/options doesnt sound like a bad buy if you want a mini-van to lug kids about etc.
