Test Drove a RRS S/C Yesterday

After waiting for the New X5 to be realsed and subsiqently hateing it ive decided that its time to get the RRS out of my system.

Went to my local dealers in Edinburgh and took the S/C out for a spin, lovely car and the nise from the Supercharger is QUAILTY...... Very Happy . The Sales manager has advised me to take the TDV8 out for a spin prior to making any comitments, the demo wasnt in at the time so i'll be back early next week for a drive in that.

Id welcome any ideas of what to look out for with the S/C, problems, known faults ect. Also would a used S/C better as they had a few avaiable from 2 years - 6 months old, is there much in the way of discounts available for Joe public walking into a delaers with cash in his pocket?

Hi X5 - welcome to the forum

The TDV8 will definetely hold its value a lot better than the SC - however if you still fancy a SC then I know of a superb example for sale

Also - if you plumb for a used Supercharged - the money saved over buying a TDV8 - would fuel the S/C for 3yrs Thumbs Up

Misery has White SC with a few external mods including white mirror caps, colour coded side grill etc, however its the custom exhaust that makes it amazing - I followed him a few months back and it sounded awesome - you cant help but smile when you hear it

cheers guys

Its funny as i saw that S/C on ebay about 20 mins ago Laughing Laughing Laughing

Think id prefer a main delaer supplied car Laughing , so i can go back and kick the sales managers ass when its goes wrong Rolling Eyes .

I cant see the S/C loosing anything worth mentioning if im picking one up at around 45k, the only thing that puts me off the TDV8 is the OCT delivery, oh and the fact that its a diesel Confused Im gonny do the sensible thing and drive it b4 making my mind up.

Is the HST worth looking at or is it just seen as S/C with a bodykit..........
