Rain X

Just a quick post to say I've used Rain X on my windows (recommended on a previous post) and I must say it's a fantastic product. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

The only problem that i have found with rain x is that after a while it makes the windsheild wipers very clattery and chalky.

United States 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Bonatti Grey

If you apply two coats initially, it seems to me that it lasts about three months, at which time a repeat application, (single), will suffice. This has been my experience anyway.

Malaysia 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Chawton White

Rain X is a liquid glass treatment that you apply to the exterior glass area. It creates an "Invisible Windshield Wiper".

This treatment is supposed to fill all the microscopic holes on your windscreen glass, thus making it ultra smooth. Water will nor stick and its effects are really impressive at higher speeds.

Application is important. Most times not all the glass surface is treated. This will create an uneven surface and when the wiper blades glide over they will tend to judder. As has been mentioned earlier, apply at least twice the first time, ensuring all surfaces are covered. After that, one application once a fortnight will be alright (subject to the weather conditions).

Quite a wonderful product. Malaysia Boleh!

Thats right Bobby - it really is a great product & I've been using it for years.

In fact today was really nice ( warm/dry/sunny ) so spent the day doing a thorough job on the Sport & my wifes TT, which included an application of Rain X to all the glass areas( 2 or 3 applications in total ) I bought a job lot from COSTCO really cheap. Very Happy

It really is fantastic - I can remember driving on the motorway70 -80mph in very heavy rain and without the aid of the wipers Shocked ...... in fact the screen was so clear - better than if I had been using wipers on full speed.

Buy it here http://www.motormania.co.uk/product_details.asp?intDescID=284
