New HSE TDV6 or TDV8 - Newbie needs advice!

Hi
New member here and loving this site very informative!
Decided to change my Porsche for a RRS but can't decide between the TDV6 or TDV8, test drove the TDV6 yesterday and found it a great drive but quite leisurely in acceleration and worried the residuals will just drop away now with new TDV8 launch. Dealer has offered a TDV8 for the day next week for an extended test drive but new slightly more than I wanted to pay ideally.
What is everyone's thoughts on the difference? Is it worth the extra cash and is there a big difference in power?
Any other advice or tips before i order greatly received !!
Probably going for Stornoway Grey or Java Black with a few extras.
Cheers

coming from a Porsche I'd say a TDV8 would be your best bet - however it depends on your intention in getting a RRS - I like my TDV6 in its current 'relatively' slow state - makes me drive calmly and relaxed all the time - the TDV8 would make me drive like a nutter Wink

cheers guys.....
as you say i need to test drive the TDV8 and see the difference for myself....
test drove the new BMW X5 and Audi Q7 but the looks, driving position & feel of the RRS wins hands down every time!

As with all modern, upmarket cars the after sales service is nearly as important as the vehicle.
Make sure you have access to a fair minded ,competent dealer whose workshop is fully equipped, clean and professionally run by fully trained technicians. My experience is that it is too easy to have one thing fixed and two other things wrecked in the process.

welcome h9gjt

I currently own a TDV6 and initially was impressed with its performance compared to my last Range rover, then i had it chipped and thought it was the mutts nuts, until i had a TDV8 on test for the day Big Cry i new i shouldn't of done it.

TDV6 going Sad

TDV8 comming Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green

Two completely different cars, different engine(obviously) different brakes, different suspension, totally different experience, IMHO its worth the extra money, and the residuals are going to be better Thumbs Up some of my Previous cars

Envoy probably means the TDV8 is fitted with Dynamic Response as standard - it also has different front spring rates to compensate for the extra weight of the engine. Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps.
