How can they do this????

I have just googled Nexon Tyres and ended up on a website that can tell you the tyres for your car if you type in your registration number............................ now how can they access the National Car registration Database that is only supposed to be available to the Police, DVLA, and the insurance industry???????

I used a well known (even famous!) cherished number plate as a test and the details were almost spot on, so then I tried my own 2 cherished numbers and the first came up with the same details as the first reg I put in (ie not 100% of the detail was available) but worryingly when I put in my other cherished number the details were 100% accurate.............. vehicle type, bodystyle and colour were spot on. Sad I wonder how easy it is for them to get your address too........................

here is the website - try it for yourself http://www.tyre-shopper.co.uk 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

It probably works on the same sort of database as this RAC run site

http://www.rac.co.uk/web/vehiclechecks/status_checks/ Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

As a company you can pay for this information from DVLA, what it doesn't do is match back to a name and address - thats the bit the Police/Insurers have access to.

Its the same with the electoral roll - your council sells the information for profit (you did tick the box that says you want the information kept private didn't you?) 2016 RRS 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Dynamic in Montalcino Red and Stealth Kit

England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

It said I should buy 19" tyres. Guess they'd be a squeeze on the 20" which it came from the factory with as standard! Rolling Eyes TDV8 HSE in Java/Ebony with Zebrano Wood, RSE, Hybrid TV, and a few other bells and whistles.

You can laugh.......my number came up as a wheelbarrow, they obviously know a lot about Land Rovers!

.Shocked .

There is absolutely no substitute for a genuine lack of preparation.

TDV8 HSE MY10 with pretty much everything including a vase of daffs on the back shelf, tropical fish collection in the centre console, hamsters in the spare tyre and finally sheep on the passenger seats.....for weight distribution, what else??
