Malfunctions

Reading the various topics by members, it is quite evident that the RRS despite being a lovely car definetly has its share of malfunctions. Do you think that they may be primarily attributed to the fact that these are early production vehicles, and if so how many of these issues, known to LR are fixed in vehicles to be produced in the future Question RRS S/C,Bonatti Grey,Ebony Interior,Lined Oak Finish, Rear Lock Dif, DVD,Sunroof,ACC

The nature of an internet forum is that they tend to be frequented people who are after help for a problem. Have a look around other vehicle forums (even for 'reliable' brands such as Lexus or Subaru) and you'll find owners with problems.

It's rare that people just sign up to say "the car's great and I've had no problems", however I'd love it if they did! Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

Let's not lose sight of how good these cars are, they are absolutely stacked with technology and yes, some things do seem to be malfunctioning.

Also, I think every single new model to come out has had it's share of teething issues, the P38 certainly did, the L322 did, and so did the D3 (LR3).

Difficult to say if Landrover are taking note and fixing them as none of us have a direct line into the factory and they are unlikely to admit faults. However, they would be totally crackers NOT to listen to owners views on such a new car and take the action required. L319 D4 HSE

Difficult to say really... given the RRS is based on the D3 and the D3 seems to have had a greater share of "teething" problems than the RRS, I expect as time goes by the RRS will end up with less niggly bits. As far as we're all concerned, we're still the post-production testers Wink We might see the first "fixes" as 2007 MY comes into view in September.

MY means Model Year. and he means 2006.

They typically call the MY with the next years date, hence a car of MY 2007 is released in 2006. L319 D4 HSE
