OK - so I've had the tyre fitted today & the total cost fitted at LR dealership was £234 inc vat. BUT, you would have thought they would take more care with your alloys than some KWIK FIT outfit - but I was wrong. I now have a marked alloy from where it was gripped in their equipment. Will my luck ever change |

To be honest I did'nt - I just wanted to leave and get to work. Although I had just been invited by the dealer principal to Leicester Tigers v Sale ( best seats ) so felt a little awkward about going back into complain. Think I will end up buying a set of 4 new wheels/tyres off ebay for £1499 as it will obviously work out cheaper in the long run ![]() ![]() " WITH MORE EXTRAS THAN A HOLLYWOOD EPIC " |

True, I thought that. My van goes as fast as the Sport and weights more (with the load I carry around) so if it is safe for that then it shoud be okay. Just think of all those 30 tonne lorries driving around on remould tyres and patches in. They certainly don't replace a tyre until every last repair has been done on it! Matt ------------------------------------------- RRS ownership for 1 yr, then D3 for 2 yrs. Then cut back to old bangers and working my way back up through two Peugeots in 6 months. Now got Saab 9-5 2.3t and enjoying the performance! |

As I think I've said on another post somewhere (which I cannot find) if you have to replace all four tyres at same point in the future it makes more sense to buy a set of wheels and tyres off someone doing exactly that or buying a new set from the places we have seen advertising the Stormers etc for £1400 inc tyres, then you get a brand new set of wheels and tyres for your car, sprucing it up and then you sell your old ones on eBay, there will be plenty of HSE/SE/S model owners who will pay 500-600 for a set of Supercharged wheels I reckon. I had a puncture at the weekend, had to replace with a new tyre as none of the tyre outfits would fix it (sidewall damage). The tyre cost £195.00 inclusive of fitting valve and balance no damage done what so ever. Not happy at having to buy a new tyre, they are almost new as it is. Not very happy at using the bloody awfull scissor jack that land rover supply, you could actually see it twist under the weight of the car and ended up with my motor propped up by bricks. If I ever get a puncture on the motor way I will call land rover assist out let them have responsibilty. Oh how would the Health Safety Executive be if one of these jacks caused injury. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment. |
