It should work exactly the same as it does in the UK. Don't forget it's not actually LR that run the service, it's Mondial and they're a Europe-wide concern....

But you've already got LRA and you believe it to be the same as AA 5-star, why do you need something else?

May be look into whether LRA in Europe provides a replacement car to get you back home and to use for a couple of weeks whilst yours is being fixed back in France somewhere? Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps.

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Zambezi Silver

Just called Landrover assist as I live in Germany but my car is a RHD UK one. My car is only a month and a half old (V8 Diesel) and I lost all power last night under acceleration. ended up having to get a taxi home and now sat wasting my day off work waiting for the repair man. Mad

As for the service I rang them about an hour ago and they put me through to the International department, I spoke to a guy called Oliver who was very helpful and he arranged a local Landrover centre to assist with the problem. He also asked if I had my driving licence and credit card available to sort out a replacement vehicle. "Not sure if they are bringing the replacement or sending a taxi for me to go and collect it".

Since the original call the recovery vehicle turned up with typical German precision exactly as stated and the vehicle has now gone off to the garage. "I'm a bit concered that last night I could not get the car to reverse over a 1 inch lip but he had no problem driving it onto the recovery wagon" Confused

Now just waiting to hear from garage about replacement vehicle so all in all a very good service, although I would have preffered not to go through it in the first place. I would also have preffered to save the taxi fare as well as a waisted day off work.

I'll let you know what happens next as and when it happens.

Everything went well and they delivered a new Mercedes E class estate. Trouble now is they say they can't find anything wrong with it Confused
