changing head light direction for europe

at last, after many trials, I have at last found out how to change headlights for european travel,. Book says remove grill, and then remove each headlight assembly.Sorry book, but you are using a sledge hammer to crack a walnut. did it just now, took about 1 minute max !!!!!!! to do both lights.
Can anybody tell me if the perimetric alarm is fitted to my rimini red se??.
list says it is fitted to all models, and i have the roof box fitted, but locked car with window open, waived arm around inside , and guess what , nothing hapened. help on this please

Off topic, eh?

The Land Rover "perimetric" alarm is just a door/hatch trigger... a "perimeter" alarm. If you have "interior space protection", there should be an additional box mounted on your headliner with sensors. Is what what you mean by "roof box"? If so, yes you have it... if superlocked, it should trigger.

We don't get interior sensors (or a tilt sensor) in North America on any RRS or LR3 trims... not sure about UK.

Are you Superlocked? You shouldn't be able to open the door from the inside if Superlocked.

Actually, that should be a good test... superlock yourself in and just try moving around inside with the windows closed. No need to break a window. Very Happy

Neilr,
Look behind the main headlight cluster, (without removing the grill ) you will see a large black disc, like a coffee jar lid.
give it a small half turn to remove.
inside the cluster you will see a small silver box with the electric warning sign on it., same as shown in book. To the right of this is a small black lever which you flip down for continental driving., do same on other side.
Literally takes seconds.
