Monitor until the service is due and then ask the dealer to check it! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Unusual to need the PS to be topped up, as Tim says mention it at the next service or if that is a long way off take it to the dealer and say you think you may have a leak, even if they can't find one they will probably top it up. |

If it is only just below the min mark i wouldnt worry to much, espically as you only have a short wait until its service, but i would get the dealer to check to make sure you dont have a leak |

Jimmy, do you have any unaccounted for oily stains on your drive/garage floor or where you park the car during the day, bearing in mind that if you are using the climate control there will be marks where the condensate drips under the car after you have parked? This would suggest that you have a leak, but I suspect that your level has always been low - I checked mine last night after reading this post and mine is right on the min mark but no staining on the drive. The car is about to go into the dealer this morning for it's 2nd service so I'll ask them to check as well. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Many car dealers go to extreme lengths to maximise their profits, and for servicing this means providing minimum quanties of fluids which are changed during a service. The cost to the customer is the same whether it is filled to the minium mark or the maximum. The onerous is on the customer to ensure the level does not drop below the minimum. They are not called stealers for nothing. Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps. |

Thanks for all your help, think that Tim was possibly correct in saying that it had always been low. Tried to buy some Texaco fluid as in the book, but nobody seems to stock it. only STP fluid and sealent. Went to m y local RR dealer in Barnet, and bought a ltr of RR p.a.s fluid. £12.oo Any body wish to buy almost a full Ltr of pas fluid ????.

I would be tempted to take the fluid with me if I were you.................................. sod's law says that if you don't you will need to do a top up and if you do then the level will not budge |
