Well there are plenty of nice beaches to visit, all with WW2 connections if you are into military history! I had a fantastic holiday there in 1992. Took the daytime fery across from Portsmouth then spent the 1st night at a lovely place called Barneville-Carteret,
Then we hopped along the west coast and turned right at Dinard and along the north coast - a visit to La Rance is worth while (it's a tidal powered power station). We then based ourselves in a tiny little place called Sables d'Or Les Pins and did day trips as far west as St Brieuc................ which is a pretty grim place, but there are some lovely little fishing ports and villages all along that coast. Also the restaurants are fantastic and if you like seafood you will not be disappointed (most of it comes from the West coast of Scotland now as the Frogs have overfished their crab and lobster fisheries and it gets trucked down - great for global warming and food miles!) Sables D'or is a bit like Cornwall - loads of empty holiday cottages that only come to life when the folks decamp from Paris for the summer but has a lovely beach. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
