2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

As a long term "brainwashed" Landy fan it fascinates me why people give up such exotic cars as exotic BMWs, Porsches, upmarket sporty Audis and Mercs SL's for a Land Rover which has a reputation for being poorly built and unreliable (which in my experience has been totally wrong). Often the people who drive these exotic cars are those that berate Land Rover more than anybody else - until they are taken out in a friends LR/RR.

Can any of you ex Merc/ Mtype BMW/ Audi and Porsche owners tell me what made you change your mind and buy a Land Rover? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim, driving a Porsche these days is too frustrating. 70/80 mph seems like 40mph and even with an acceleration from 0-62 in well under 4 sec there is rarely any gaps in the traffic to make use of the performance.

There is also the factor that some erk is likely to key it, or PC plod will leap out from behind a hedge and point his 'fund raiser' at you.

Perhaps we just realise that performance chasing is a never ending and ever costlier pastime which can never be satisfied - so we just give up the quest. Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps.

I own a Volvo V50 Flexifuel (don't laugh, it's not a joke, he he) and a RRS Tdv6 on the way any day now. Ok, the Volvo V50 is a pretty dull car, but what I really like about it is that altough it's pretty small for a station wagon it's very roomy even for a tall fellow like myself (6'6"). Ok no more Volvo propaganda. LR For The Win!

Norway 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Bali Blue

Had three consecutive Saab 9-5 Estate's. Although well built and fairly quick they bored me more and more. They were company cars, and eventually I ditched my scheme for tax reasons and went the line out with a private RRS. Never regret that. Very Happy
This week the wife's Alfa 147 will go, that car I'll miss though. Big Cry 2010 RRS TDV6 3,0, Bali Blue/Tan/Anigre/Dynamic Pack/Logic7/Keyless entry/Paddle

E39 M5 - Best car I ever owned but TDV8 is close

Whist I owned this I also had:

Stage 1 V8 Station Wagon - Great fun wish I would have kept and restored.
Defender 110 Station Wagon 2.5 TD - Wthout doubt the slowest car I have ever owned.

It *IS* ice... the location was Atlanta, Georgia though.

Lived in the ATL before I moved to sunny California.
