Most UK dealers will not give away a set of mats, none come with the car, try and get them to give you a set. Rubber oens are great, very sturdy and stop water and mud getting everywhere.

Carpets ones are for people who drive aorund in their slippers! Laughing

If you have to pay for a set, ask for a 10% discount from the parts dept, they ALL do it if you ask. L319 D4 HSE

It's worth seeing if they will throw them in for free. They did with me. If you can do it face to face, they will back down if you suggest they are being churlish after you've just spent 45k with them. The carpet mats are just going to get ruined, even if you never take it offroad. The rubber ones hose down easily and look good too - they have little metal corners that set them off well.

When I got my RRS, the dealer gave me a set of black rubber mats. I have an alpaca interior.

Are there rubber mats that are alpaca color, or only black?

Also, are the carpet mats alpaca color, or only black as well? I know on the full size RR, they match the interior color.

I am going to use rubber for winter and carpet for summer.

The carpet mats are colour-coded but the rubber mats are all black.

No, Rubber mats are black... and black only. The Carpet mats are available in Alpaca Beige, Aspen Green & Ebony Black in North America.

I have the carpet mats as I doubt I'll get them too muddy, the only problem are the plastic thingies that attach to the floor - THEY ARE WORSE THAN USELESS! They break all the time especially when the local handwash chaps from Albania just pull the mats out when cleaning the RRS. I got a very nice set of RR carpet mats with the aluminium corner tips thrown in after badgering the salesman. They are in a bag in the garage, they look great but are good only if you wear slippers. As VA says, the plastic clips are useless; the velcro tabs in the back which are fixed with a pin are even worse. I bought a set of standard black rubber mats which are the biz. Don't waste time or money buying LR mats, they are no better than the standard Halford fare. RRS TDV6 (gone)

I think the plastic "thingies" were designed to be used with carpet mats, not the rubber type, anyway. When I first got car and mats (I only got the rubber ones) I tried installing them and hooking them up as per instructions but I could not get them to lock over the mats. I have left them open, at least they are useful to center the mats and help keeping them in place.

The fixings work well on D3 rubber mats, wouldn't bother with carpets they will spoil too easily, especially when you drive in wellies!

I got 4 rubber floor mat and a rubber load bay mat thrown in.
The load bay mat is rather nice, it has a large stainless steel panel with Range Rover etched into it. For that extra touch, the logo reflects in the rear window through the rear view mirror the right way round Very Happy ...if you understand what I mean Confused

Yes indeed, the load bay mat has already saved my carpeted trunk - or is it "boot" here? - from several nasty spills (I often transport espresso machines back there and those suckers regularly leak and/or tip over due to my, ehm, spirited driving. Also, a pot roast turned upside down on our way back from my in-laws on Christmas day. The car smelled like a family restaurant all the way home, but not a single drop of that oily mess made it onto the carpeted area, and after hosing it off the mat was as good as new. And you are right, with the right sun at the right angle you CAN see the Range Rover logo reflection in the rear view mirror.

OT, I think your red Sport looks sensational PaulB, what a great color for this truck.

My only beef with the mats is that in the rear passenger fllor space the rubber mats do not cover a large section of carpet in the middle. 2 wel behaved passengers would keep their dirty feet on the rubber mats back there, but any more would have to put their feet on the carpet. Having children and lots of mud around here - its a good job I ain't precious about these things ....

The robbing bast***s..... I know them quite well at Trinity & family have bought many RR's over the years. When I spent nearly £60k with them in September I was repeatedly told that absolutely no discount or throw ins could be done on the RRS Evil or Very Mad

I eneded up buying rubber mats, rear load space mat, carpet mats and SS sill protectors ( which were replaced with those from Tasmod as much better )...... so all in all ... Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Still love the car though Very Happy
