Stormers

Hi,
This is my first post to the forum .
I am picking up my new car next week RRS HSE 2.7TDV6 Black,Black n Rhodium.(2007)

I wanted some thought / opinions about 22" Stormers.
Would you go for the 20s instead?
Any advice as to whether they are suitable or not would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

John Thumbs Up

Welcome to the forum Smile

The more technical lot will be along at some point but I'd say stormers are great as long as you don't want to use your RRS off road, and 22" should be fine. 2002 Discovery Adventurer LE

22's will make the ride too hard in my opinion. They look good but at a price. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Welcome Thumbs Up

As VA said they will make the ride quite hard, i have 20" stormers on mine with 275 tyres and that is a hard ride, when i get the new tdv8 i will put 20's on again but i will put 295's on them to help protect the wheels as the 275's dont give much protection.

As andy said they are crap off road though, but i dont think theres much in it between the 20's and the 22's its just down to taste some of my Previous cars

The 20s that I am looking at have 295s on. That may be the best option.

I just don't like the standard 19s that LR put on.

This is the link to the wheels, anyone else used them?

My supercharged runs just fine on its original 20's - stock 275's ..... I think this car , whichever wheel/tyre combination fitted, would be prone to heavy wheel damage .... so its down to looks then, but dont forgett the bigger the wheel the harsher the ride will become Confused

Not too sure about that company? The wheels are only 9" wide whereas LR spec are 9.5" Also the offset is all messed up (maybe because of the width)? Should be 53 not 38?! I got a set from this mob http://stores.ebay.co.uk/DGT-INTERNATIONAL-LTD. The holes for the nuts are the same size as those on the 19's so if you are upgrading you don't have to pay the extra 100 for new wheel nuts. Wink

Bank Holiday Weather in Argyll was brilliant up to 9 this morning! Offroading in Argyll with the Argyll 4x4 Club was more like driving in the Aussie outback than Argyll - dust everywhere and more of it inside my Def than outside!

Driving between the offroad sections on roads like this were not much fun....................
