Do you need to purchase a new 2007 sat nav dvd for this - ontop of the £99 software update - or is matfords saying this can be done with any RRS/year irrespective of what disc you have ??

I think it needs to be the new "200" 2007 satnav DVD? I'll report back when I collect my car tomorrow, assuming they've done the upgrade, of course!!! Whistle

No need for a new 07 DVD, the good news is navigation on the move can be enabled on cars with the 05/06 DVD. SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE BUG AND SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE WINDSHIELD

However.., just got mine back from the Stealer after its' first service and the man said they're not allowed to do satnav motion enable. Apparently, there are legal reasons and implications, plus it also conflicts with UK specification. He says those that ARE doing it break LR rules, in exactly the same way as dealers who provide remap. In other words, he's not denying it can be done, it's just that he's not prepared do it!

So, mine wasn't done, although I do understand his reasons.., if true? Sad MY12 SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ebony/Piano/Sidesteps/Privacy/Overfinch Olympus/JLR DRLs

Ian Houston........Service Manager at Pillings, Welwyn Garden City, knows all about the upgrade and says its being done with the blessing of L.R. Maybe give him a call as seems to have more of a dose of real life than most? .

There is absolutely no substitute for a genuine lack of preparation.

TDV8 HSE MY10 with pretty much everything including a vase of daffs on the back shelf, tropical fish collection in the centre console, hamsters in the spare tyre and finally sheep on the passenger seats.....for weight distribution, what else??

If you have an SE you just don't have these worries, life is so much easier Very Happy The satnav system in my SE even tells me all about speed cameras and I can update it on the internet whenever I want, so it's better than the HSE one!

and with the SE you also have a nice shelf in the middle of the dash for stowing your sunglasses where the factory fitted Sat/Nav is located. This set-up is also useful when you have several cars as you can move it from car to car! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

I agree with Tim, I use a Tom Tom sat nav system which is perfect for the task. And at a cost of less than £250 it worked out a lot cheaper than going for the factory fitted sat nav option.

Plus when I use my wife's little go kart the sat nav doubles as a hands free phone system. Thumbs Up Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.
