I use my air suspension quite a bit from raising it up to go into site or when at the point to points as i go into the field and drop her to access height for getting in and out for my wife and child. I have been told that I should not use it all the time is thins right if so should I look out for any problems or is this an old wives tale?

If you use the compressore a lot (several 10's of times in a couple of minutes) then it will overheat but unless you are into those classic american lowrider cars then I think in normal offroad use the compressor gets far more use keeping the suspension/ car level than you can give it pushing the height adjust button. I remember over on Disco3 one of the Aussie guys reporting in the early days that the compressor overheated a lot in the outback driving on the corrugated road surfaces there 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

While we are on the subject of air suspension.

I note that the hand book dosen't cover what height the air suspension should be in when you are jacking it up to change the wheel ie. low/locked down, middle or high

You certainly can't do it in low/locked down because the wheels won't leave the ground. My tyres were changed in the high position so I hope that was ok

In fact, the manual does say to have the car in off road mode prior to jacking it up. Look at the section under J for Jack!.

Also important to tell your local tire shop to do this as well if they are doing any work on your vehicle AND to jack it up from the frame, not under the suspension as some are wont to do.

Yes you are correct.

But it took me 3 reads of the tyre changing section to find it because it is so small. Didn't even get a mention in the index

Personally I think it needs high lighting in the manual and not hidden a way. TDV6 - gone
