Transmission failure!

On the way into work this morning my less than1 month old RRS starts beeping and delcaring "Transmission Failure", I tried slipping it into Sport or Manual and it wouldn't go....

Any comments? Is this a regular fault?

Hi,

I've been getting this message along with "HDC Fault" intermittently for a while now. I've taken it into the dealer a couple of times, but they said they couldn't find any faults with the HDC and other than resetting the faults codes they said there's nothing they could do.

The RRS drives fine so i'm assuming there isn't actually a "transmission failure".

There are a few instances of these sorts of things happening - sometimes they are false positives, sometimes they actually do relate a problem that has occurred. Always worth getting them checked out if you can though.

Intermittent HDC faults were happening in my car, particularly when left overnight in the cold... Do they happen mostly in the morning and only once. switch the car off, start up again and no fault?

A few sensors were changed out but the problem remained. A change of a battery (my idea Thumbs Up ) under warranty Thumbs Up , cured it.

HDC is not transmission really.... It is Hill Descent Control which mostly (only?) uses the car's brakes. 2022 P440e AB
