I know there is a problem if you put the double sided discs in or if you use certain discs with other types of media on i.e video. There is a paragragh in the audio manual ref this. If you have the discs in the only way to get them out is via the dealer, I have heard of people putting the Nav disc in by mistake which will cause the same problem. Speed Limits! not where I live!

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

This happened to my Brother in Law with his D3.

The local dealership agreed to remove his multi disc player and send it away for analisys. They fitted a single disc player as a temp replacement. If Land Rover proved that he was using the wrong discs he would have had to pay all labour charges and the cost of a replacement unit. If the multi disc mechanism was at fault Land Rover would foot the bill under warranty.

As it turned out, some dozy engineer at Land Rover "miss placed" the multi player, so Land Rover had to foot the bill for a replacement unit. And they paid for his next sevice as a way of an apology.

Good result all round. Thumbs Up Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Just be careful that your dealer doesn't cause any damage trying to do this. The easy option for removing the discs is to use long nose pliers or tweezers to pull the discs back out through the cd slot in the facia. This could cause some serious scratches around the cd slot area, plus damage to your cd's.

If I were you I would take a few digital photo's before handing over your vehicle. If there is any sign of damage when you get your motor back you will have the evidence to back up your claim for a new centre facia stack. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE.
