The friendly sales people at Alto in Sydney let me loose in a TDv8 today, Stornaway with Premium leather, totally amazed at the sound, acceleration, the way it felt planted.. got back in the Tdv6 and thought is it worth 53K Aussie, the gap on what they want in difference to their speculative trade in value on mine..the heart says yes , but the wallets says maybe not yet... decision decisions.. I've been obsessing about getting a S/C FFRR but the way everyone raves about the TDV8 now i'm wondering which is the better option...

ST not tried the FFRR, but what i can say about the TDv8 it does feel and sound smoother, and goes like the proverbial off the shovel compared to the TDv6. Did not take much notice of the noise level, not any more intrusive than the TDv8 in terms of sound (diesel that is), definitely more rumble in terms of the V8 though Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

the SC is quoted in the KPH bracket to 100 to be 1.5 seconds quicker http://www.landrover.com.au/au/en/Vehicles...rmance.htm Interesting Land Rovers Australian website, there are no model derivatives as in the UK, such as S, SE and HSE, yet they quote them, lazy just linking to another site no doubt Another Pommie Bar Steward down under MY20 Defender 110 SE P400 Eiger/Ebony MY10 3.0 RRS TDv6 Fuji/Ebony/Anigre Last edited by Zilch on Sat Mar 29 2008 10:06am. Forgot to mention, i've been joking that we will get VERY friendly with our local petrol station... Last night, we were out having a meze in the next village from us and the couple who own the garage walked in. No big deal, eh? They paid for all our drinks!!!
