Do I get a new RRS

Time to decide.

Do I order a new RRS or stick with the old one for another year?

My RRS will be 3 ay the end of May - Worth ? probably £29,000 ish. I have to pay £24.5k balloon. Do I bite the bullet and get a new one? The only reasons not to are these.
1. New dash layout in 2009 - which I Like.
2. New payments on new finance deal of £24.5 k should be lower than I'm paying now.

What will a new RRS cost me finance wise seeing as the only deposit put down will be the difference of the finance & sale of present RRS.

So 5k-odd deposit is healthy enough I would say. Kam can obviously work some scenarios for you. I'd be inclined to see if the balloon can be refinanced over another year such that you can wait for the MY09 to come out and buy into that? Depends if that's a financially sensible thing to do or not I guess.

Will you still go for the LRX on the side?

The LRX isn't released until 2011 - it'll probably be a replacement for the D3 as by then fuel & congestion charge will be huge. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

VA - how is your RRS at the moment? remember to budget in repair costs / extended warranties etc on your current RRS if your going to keep it (sorry for stating the obvious) but sometimes its forgotten when comparing costs

Yes Kaine- I've been told extended warranty is about £800 from LR - waiting for confirmation on this. I can get a new TDV8 with tints and DVD for £56k basically putting £52k on finance - not too keen on doing this in the current economic climate. What sort of monthly payments with a final balloon would we be looking at here? 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Call Kam VA. I am saving quite a lot on the v8 over the v6 just coming off LR Finance and onto Lombard through Kam's scheme. Sounds crazy that Ihave gone upto a more expensive car that is costing me less per month in finance over the same period and no more to insure............................ just changing finance companies. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange

wait for the 2009 RRS... get KAM to refinance the 24.5k, and pick up and TDV8 (or 5ltr if its out) next year.

i'm sure KAM will be able to find a good 3yr deal with a zero early redemption fee when you settle in 12months... reduces your monthly outgoings, plus gets u in one of the first face-lifted RRS' RRS First Edition S/C, Vesuvius Orange, Rear Entertainment, Alpine TUE-T200DV, Stormer Alloys. (+ 19" MTR's for playing in the snow!)

Personal contract hire rates look good. Minimal cash down and road tax included.

Hi VA... is a tough choice..
What would you prefer to do? is the Silver one running well, no real issues? then keep it for the facelift, and see what the situation is like then in the economy..

Or if its pee'ing you off and you need a new motor, buy a newer one, and change it when the new ones come out? Be happy to look at any option for you mate?

Maybe pickup a used SC model, 06 or TDV8 HSE 07 plate for around £45k? chop out for a new shape, and preorder it now, so you can get one of the first ones around..

Few thoughts for you.. Know your mind must be buzzing with the alternatives..
Wouldn't contract hire a car if i was you mate.. i know how you like to 'modify' your motors..
