Re the M3 badges, no argument from me there! Thumbs Up

But in fairness, not many people buy an RRS S and try to make it look like something else. OK, folks go for the SC grilles and badges, but that's a simple and cheap way to make you car look a bit nicer than the way it came out of the factory. Obviously what you do with your car is your choice, but you're taking away from your car, not adding to it which is unusual in the grand tradition of what people may do to their RRSs, but if you have the money to spend and it's that important to you... then sail away mate.

Added to which, it's a discussion forum so we're discussing the choice you've shared with us. I don't think anyone's having a go, Andrew, but it's good to get people's input, no? Very Happy

Yes, but de-badging a really svelt mainliner I find is quite appealing...that's taking away...flor example de-badging an M3....

True, but debadging an M3 is a no cost option Wink

Anyway, in conlclusion it looks like I won't be changing my windows as it appears that it will just open a can of worms (leaks etc etc), so I'm considering either a new one...but the dealers are quoting 3 months for a petrol (everybody is trying to flog the TDV8)...or changing manufacturer...

However considering how well the SC handles then only real alternative is the Cayenne...but its just too ugly for words....

Didn't know Mr. T had a wife...always thought he was a bit of a left hander... Wink 2007 Audi Q7 4.2 FSI Grey/Black Int.

Probably a wise move - you wouldn't want to put windows in a submarine just because you liked it that way. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

So if anything we've managed to save you £2.5k! Just send it on a brown envelope, Andrew, I'm not proud Wink

If not Cayenne then X5 4.8is will be the other obvious choice? Probably doesn't handle quite as well as the Cayenne, but great car all the same Thumbs Up

Well, I see it as scary that the dealers don't really want to get involved in changing a few windows....anyway my local dealer doesn't do windows, or BTooth installation...

A new model is coming out quite soon though...one other thing I like about LR is that the models don't change too often.... 2007 Audi Q7 4.2 FSI Grey/Black Int.
