It's made by the same people who made Teletubbies.... and the brand has become just as big. I think the Iggle Piggle toy was the toy to have at Xmas just as Buzz Lightyears and Cabbage Patch Kids have been previously.... all credit to them I say. I think it's fantastic... weird, but expertly thought about Thumbs Up

I agree with you there.

Though Mrs NP and myself hate it in a "let him watch it anyway" sort of way

I don't think the stupid noises they make instead of actually speaking teach the child anything really, yes its colourful and things keep happening that keeps the kids attention, but what do they learn.

I don't know if it's meant to be educational or not... there doesn't seem to be that educational element like there was in Teletubbies. I was reading an interview with Andrew Davenport about it and his view was that it was meant to provide a link between being awake and going to sleep in terms of calming down and softening all the edges so that the kids look forward to drifting off to sleep (like in Iggle Piggle's little boat bobbing about on the sea).....

Who needs the BBC for indepth analysis when you have us! Laughing

We rarely discuss the RRS - this is a social forum. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
