Computer Reset when i Start the thing up.

Hi
have noticed a small problem with my TDV8, that when starting, the centre screen goes off and the mpg reading (on the instrument display) is sometimes reset to zero. never had this problem on my RRS SC's or the wifes various TDV6's.

has anyone else exsperianced this? or have an answer?

cheers
keith

Does it happen everytime you start? And then only at start time?

It isn't right, whatever it is.... the reason for my question was that I was thinking maybe it was a fault that occurred only in particular temperatures (e.g. when it's really cold in the morning etc). Best take a trip to your dealer to get it checked out Confused

Ok, is this happening when you put the key in the ignition, the systems start up but if you then start the car before it all comes on the systems go off and re-start again. Speed Limits! not where I live!

us Fl2 owners have a similar problem

The mileage clock on ours spins round and resets the trip computer and all the dials back to zero,

we just get told its a software problem and a update sorts it.

The cold temperature effects some of the FL2 too, I and some others get a message the HDC is switched off and there is a fault. On mine this always coincides with the glowplugs coming on when it been stood overnight in the very cold. I think its battery charge related, others have been told it a sensor

Typical dealer, no fault code etc etc etc no fix for the latter
