Dilemma

Hi guys I'm new to this forum although I have been a member of the D3 forum for some time. My name is Lex and I'm a dentist from Qld Australia. [Don't hold this against me]. I have had three enjoyable years with my D3 but now the lease is expiring and I don't know what to do. I am semi-convinced that I want a TDV8 either Sport or Vogue but I may just keep the D3. We enjoy a lot of remote travel and the availibilty of rear tyre carriers/bullbars etc make the D3 easy to set up for long distance travel. Are there any former D3 owners here who have made the transition without regret. Any comments/sugestions would be greatly apreciated.

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

Lex, we started with a D3 then got a TDv6 RRS then got a TDv8 RRS. Personally I thought the D3 was, overall, a better car than the TDv6 RRS as the D3 simply did more than the RRS in most things and what the RRS did well it didn't do that much better than the D3. But the TDv8 is in a different class all together. It puts the Sport in RRS and does that soooo much better than the D3. The TDv8 is now definitely our favourite of the 2. RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

If you don't need the load capacity of the D3, then the TDv8 RRS is the one to have. The difference between the TDv6 and TDv8 is like chalk and cheese, and, in my experience, with no penalty at the fuel pumps but a whole load more fun! The TDv8 FFRR is also very nice but less sporty than the RRS - it still rolls a bit even though the 2008.5MY cars here have trick DR suspension like the TDv8RRS has 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
